Driver Charged In Hit-Run Crash That Left Teen Pedestrian Dead: Cherry Hill PD

A 34-year-old driver from Mount Laurel has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a young pedestrian, authorities said.

Ronald Pables, 34, was charged on Saturday, Feb. 18, with knowingly leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident and endangering the welfare of a victim, according to Cherry Hill police.

On Wednesday, Feb. 8 at about 5 a.m., police responded to Springdale Road near the entrance to Springdale Farm for the report of a person lying on the side of the road. 

Police found a 16-year-old boy suffering from life-threatening injuries. The juvenile victim was rushed to an area hospital but died.

Police were able to locate the vehicle and driver allegedly involved in the crash, they said.
